    Mae sure is a good horse to put up with your adventures!👍😉 And do give her a gentle pats on the flanks from an old horse cop. That weapon reminds me of my Remington carbine in 7x57mm that was once issued to the 1st Uruguay Cav in 1901. Used to hunt coyote with it riding fence at night on a ranch in Central Texas. The mare I rode would feel me draw the carbine from the boot and lock all fours. She knew what came next and lean her head over to the side. And I never fired anywhere close to her head. Always from about 9 O'Clock. But if I missed, she'd bolt and run the coyote down. Made for some "fun" riding at times! Nobody else on the ranch wanted to ride her, but I was young and stupid in those days.😂

    I think the left was shot because he got involved in the war. He didn't have to start a war and a million Americans died on both sides. The war wasn't because of slavery, said General Lee. He also said that he wouldn't stand for a president who was quick-tempered and couldn't control his emotions. Lee also said that President Lincoln was forced into a war by the Masonic financial elite because they hated independence. Lincoln was shot because it was God's punishment for the sin he had started.

I really like Eastwood gun in another cowboy movie wear he had multiple cylinder that he could change out on his belt. But yeah my uncle was pretty bad ass when it came to making his guns just like the movies lol. He use to quick draw, up into even after he shot his leg two times, but the third time he shot his leg he blew a big chunk off the bottom of his foot. Up to that time the bullet would go in right below the holster sher off his bone and came out just below his calf, but the third one kept going and by by bottom of foot. All three times was his 45 😆. He was actually really fast, but kept trying to get faster and boom 😄 🤣 😂. Best uncle I've ever had. Seen hum do it once, by the time we maid it down to him all he did was hold his leg rock back and forth and say,,,, the pain, the pain, the pain , oh the pain in a surprising calm voice lmfao. The rub: the classification as to what constitutes 'the firearm' on a *replica* antique percussion arm can vary. Even here, the authorities have been having a decades old in house quibble about this. But every juristiction has its own smorgashboard of legal minutaie about what is an antique bullet firing arm. May the buyer beware.

    An interesting question I found while in the depths of the internet recently. Booth was expecting to find both Lincoln and General Grant in the balcony. He was planning on killing them both if possible. He had to assume that Grant would be flanked by guards and staff members. He had no reason to believe the policeman outside would leave his post. He also was, by all accounts, not considering this as a suicide mission. Given all that, why would he only arm himself with a single shot derringer and a knife? Would it really have been all that difficult for him to acquire two Colt revolvers?

    I have 2 of these and played quite a lot with them Using a .457 ball and 3f swiss powder - you have to put some effort to screw the barrel on - kicks power up quite a bit... I messured mine around 560 to 585 fps.. it is reliably penetrating a full 1 inch pine board and inbedding the bullet flush in the board behind. 10 to 12 feet are probably a more realistic distance for the use of this..

  • @michaelschweimler7292
    @michaelschweimler7292 9 днів тому

    A couple grains more, using Swiss 3f powder and a very tight fitting ball will push the velocity to about 550 fps and almost double the energy .. In an emergency it is way better than nothing...

I also bought two of the little kit guns and spent a lot of time fitting them up and engravings the barrels, locks and trigger loops. made them a fitted Walnut presentation case. I still have those two as well. The fact that they are now over $600 is amazing to me, I could see $100, but $600, come on. Was Booth's action useless? It put the VP Andrew Johnson, who was a Democrat, into the president's seat. A first, Johnson played a strict, anti-southern president but by the end of his term, he became sympathetic to the rich Southern plantation owners, returning the plantation lands that General Grant had give to the freed slaves. Lincoln would have implemented a plan to repatriate the south while to the union while protecting the rights of the freed slaves. Johnson so thoroughly undermined that plan in a way that exacerbated the hate in the south towards the freed slaves. That is a rather short overview and blunt but Johnson was a disaster for the post-war period.

And it is way too heavy to shoot offhand. The attachable butt stock + shipping and sales tax would make the cost close to $1500. I can but 2 long guns from MH for that.
